Rewritten in Microsoft Access 2000. You can now use all your Access 2000 toolbars with Summit Contact Manager and have access to design view.
You can create and identify specific mailouts with a code, a description and a date and see at any time exactly who each mailout was sent to. You can also record a contact against each person and see all the mailouts each person has received. You can mark specific people to be omitted from a general mailout.
The Reporter now has a sophisticated multi-group select process which includes a multi-group unselect. For example, you could select all people that have a group of Federal Politician or State Politician or Government and then remove all people with a group of Cabinet Minister or Department Head (who you might wish to contact individually). The multi-group select feature will only pick each person up once, regardless of how many of the selected groups they are in.
The Reporter now has a multi-event select process. The multi-event select feature will only pick each person up once, regardless of how many of the selected events they have attended.
If you are using the multi-group select or multi-event select features for a mailout you can do generic addressing, for example, The Financial Controller or The School Principal.
The contacts area has been expanded. You can produce a report grouped by contact type so you can follow up you marketing efforts more easily. You now also have a Contacts Reporter so you can select and report on contacts based on Contact Date, Follow-up Date, Contact With and/or Contact Type.
You can now capture middle initial and postnominals (or suffix), for example, John X. Smith PhD, for people's names. This is carried though to the Report Name Format function.
When the possible duplicates screen is displayed when importing records, you can now directly edit the database record if you notice slight address differences. This includes the ability to copy and paste from the record being imported.
All reports can now be exported as report snapshots. A report snapshot is a file (.snp extension) that contains a high quality copy of each page of a Microsoft Access report and preserves the two-dimensional layout, graphics, lines and other embedded objects of the report exactly as they are displayed in the Summit Contact Manager. People can then use the Snapshot Viewer to view, print, and e-mail a report snapshot. The Snapshot Viewer is automatically installed by Office 2000 the first time you open a report snapshot. You can also install the Snapshot Viewer from the MIE Software CD or download it from this website.
When using the Name Plus... listings you can now choose profiles as one of the column contents. This will display all profiles that apply to each person.
